An Experiment

Like every other week I have to take numerous amounts of pictures for my Photo Workshop class. A few weeks ago a friend named Tyler Morgan asked if I wanted to accompany her to battery park to try and take pictures. I was having the worst case of photo block, and I just couldnt get inspired. Later that week I was in my History of Photography class and we started talking about a method of printing called "Double Exposure",which is exposing two negatives to a peice of development paper in the darkroom to make the final print. So I took this idea and applied it to my own negatives. I decided to layer a shot of some flowers with a picture of a highschool sophmore i got at the park earlier that week...and this was my result. I do like it if i may so so myself. :)
P.s. Check out Tyler's Blog, its pretty sweet!!

Theres nothing more I love then wacthing Joanna make new pieces of clothing or other accesories, especially if they are for me lol. The bottom picture is of me holding a bag joanna made me as a Christmas Present, that Bag was incredible and its last me awhile. The middle picture is of joanna modeling a dress she made as part of her Parson's Challenge. The top picture is a little photogrpahy by Joanna of her "china men" pin cushion.
The Girl Next Door

Little Beetle

This Photo was taken for an assignment Iwas given for my Photo Workshop class. The teacher wanted us to work in the studio so we could get used to using lighting, backdrops and what not. Although I have done it a few times already it was a good excuse to get me back into the studio to do what I love best. The model's name is Samantha and she was great, she knew how to take directions and was very graceful in the shoot. I think this was an overall success.

Jealous

M.Avila: If only we were this fashionable when we were young! For real, who are your parents!? Where are you both getting these clothes from? Charles Guislain and Tavi Williams def have a new take on fashion and we cant wait to see what they will have in store for us in the future. I mean cmon, its always been my dream to dress like a bird.
